Open Enrollment

What Is Open Enrollment?

Each fall during Open Enrollment, you are free to make changes to your health care and life insurance benefits for the following calendar year. This is the only opportunity you have to make changes unless you experience a qualifying life event (see the Life Event section to learn more). Use this opportunity to review what's new for 2012, make changes, or re-enroll in a Flexible Spending Account.

What You Need To Do

Follow these simple steps to complete Open Enrollment for 2012:

  • Check out What's New. watch the presentation, or attend an on-site presentation.
  • Retirees: Watch your own open enrollment presentation
  • Think about your medical plan. Is it the right one for you and your family? Look below for more.
  • See Do I Need To Enroll? to determine whether or not you need to make any changes.
  • Log onto MyBenefits to make your elections.
  • Important! Carefully review and print your confirmation statement. We will not mail one to you. You have until November 15 to make your elections.
  • If you add a dependent to your coverage (i.e, spouse, registered domestic partner, etc.), we will mail you a request to verify their eligibility. Make sure you are ready to verify your dependents eligibility by looking at the list of accepted documents. We will include this list in our request.
