At Work
Your benefits may be affected by a change in your job status.
Start Work At Stanford
Congratulations! Now that you work at Stanford, if you meet the requirements (see Eligibility), you are eligible for Stanford's benefits. Please see Getting Started for guidance on making the most of your benefits package.
Newly Eligible
If you've just become eligible for benefits coverage, please see Getting Started to get acquainted with your benefits package.
Full-Time To Part-Time
A move from full-time to part-time status results in a change to the amount you pay for your benefits, except for Long Term Disability and Long Term Care. Your life insurance will continue to be based on your salary as of September 1 of the prior calendar year. You may also decrease your contribution to your flexible spending accounts, or drop coverage.
Part-Time Eligible To Full-Time Eligible
Going from part-time to full-time allows you to enroll in or change your benefits, except Long Term Disability and Long Term Care. Your life insurance will continue to be based on your salary as of September 1 of the prior calendar year. The amount you pay for your benefits will also change, and you can increase your contribution to your flexible spending accounts. For more information, contact Stanford Benefits.
Rehired or Recalled
Depending on when you return to Stanford, your benefit coverage will either be reinstated to what you were enrolled in at the time of termination or retirement, or you re-enroll if you come back in a different year. If not already covered, you can enroll in Long Term Care. For more information, contact Stanford Benefits.
